It’s what got us moving. And we hope it gets your people moving again too.
Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to build confident communities and to inspire fulfilling experiences through the creative arts in order to better our world.
We believe that businesses should care about their workers, that minority voices are more important than ever, and that a meaningful art experience is essential to high quality of life.
With over 50 years in the entertainment industry combined, it was no wonder Will and AP met each other in a Play.
Our Experience
W and A is Will (he/they) and AP (she/they). A partnership that extends beyond the norm, valuing both communication and compromise. Together, they’ve inspired fulfilling intrapersonal communication and built confidence within a multitude of groups and organizations. With entertainment and the creative arts at the center of everything they do, clients can rest assured that they are in the best hands.
Our story
Hi. We’re Will and AP! For more than a quarter century, we’ve each been heavily involved in the creative arts—music, theater, art, writing, you name it—and there has been very little stopping us in our pursuit of it. From participating behind the scenes and in the spotlight of multiple community organizations, professional theaters and large-scale festivals and markets on the West Coast, we love when art and music bring people together.
We were together for a little over a year when we lost nearly everything to the pandemic. As we struggled through the summer of 2020, we found out we were pregnant. With no jobs safely available to our industry of expertise, we searched for a better use of our talents and sacrificed almost everything to move across the country to Will’s native home in Maine.
We dove into the music and arts community in New England. But to our surprise, we found a need for organizational leadership, high quality service, and consistently good communication. Endless ambiguous contracting jobs and low-paying gigs turned us into burned out new parents and forced us to start again, by building something better.
Where was the fun? Where was the whimsical approachability of the creative arts? The community deserved what we had been looking for: music and art that values minority voices, innovative creative arts, and phenomenal intrapersonal communication. We are hoping that W and A Entertainment Company—or WandA, as we hope you’ll know us by—brings just that. A playful breath of fresh air.
With the pandemic we all lost so much and the arts almost went too. We believe WandA can bring about its new and improved revival.
So join us and be entertained.
